A compact tool for quantitative gas analysis
Hiden Analytical supplies precise and user-friendly tools for quantitative gas and vapour analysis. Our compact Hiden QGA system is a high performance gas analyser configured for real-time continuous monitoring of multiple species with an extremely wide dynamic range. With a compact footprint and simplified operation, the Hiden QGA satisfies the needs of users in research and production scale applications alike.
Overview
Multi-species quantitative gas analysis in real-time demands the widest possible mass sampling range and rapid rates of response. Based on a powerful HAL 201 RC residual gas analysis mass spectrometer, the Hiden QGA boasts a standard mass range of 1 – 200 atomic mass units (amu) and with detection over extremely high dynamic range up to 100%. Gas and vapour species can be quantified at concentrations as low as 100 parts per billion (ppb).
With a nominal response time of within 300 milliseconds (ms), the Hiden QGA can rapidly detect most common species of interest with measurement speeds of up to 650 readings per second. This unprecedented performance comes courtesy of the quantitative gas analyser’s internal dual electron multiplier and Faraday detectors and a precision quartz inlet heated capillary (QIC) sampling interface.
As standard, the Hiden QIC capillary inlet can operate at pressures from 100 mbar to 2 bar and elevated temperatures (200°C).
Higher temperature inlets operating at up to 450°C and high- pressure gas analysis sampling options up to 30 Bar are offered as options. A range of extremely low- pressure (<100mbar) sampling options is also available.
